ARCLIB 2022: Teaching with materials

Morwenna Peters, UWE. Experience delivering object based learning session, followed by discussion:

Inspired by Billie Coxhead’s online presentation at the 2021 online ARCLIB conference, I set about adapting these ideas into an in-person workshop for MA Design students at UWE Bristol. The students were asked to bring an object and we collaboratively analysed the objects, aiming to develop critical thinking skills.  In this session for ARCLIB, I will summarise the session plan and how I developed it, signpost resources I found useful and invite the delegates to share their own experiences and ideas to take forward for their own teaching.

Post-conference: Morwenna has collated pictures of the post-it notes that were outputs from the discussions.

If you wish to add any further comments or signpost other useful resources, please do go ahead!
