ARCLIB Conference Brighton: 2022 Visions… capturing the event!

It was fantastic to have our first post-lockdown, in-person conference last week. I took some pictures and short video recordings during the event and have stitched them together. Hopefully this will inspire other members to reflect on the event and get in touch with content for this newsletter, our Instagram or Flickr accounts. Thanks again to Maggie Symes and Helen Rehin for organising and hosting such a fabulous event!

Perhaps you would like to write a short piece for our newsletter. It would be great to hear from you about one or more of the following, for inclusion in this online newsletter:

  • If this was your first ARCLIB conference, what was the experience like? I’d be happy to collate some impressions and comments from new members who made it to Brighton!
  • Your key ‘takeaways’ from the event – one or two things that really resonated with you that you would like to implement or be inspired by in your own workplace
  • Your favourite talk, tour, networking event or other activity at the conference – what was it and why did you enjoy it so much? Who did you meet and/or hear from and what impact did they have?
  • A short review (150-200 words max) of a particular session in the programme – perhaps focusing on what was impactful, engaging, good or bad, rather than trying to summarise the whole thing
  • If you gave a talk, you could provide a session outline and a post on this could prompt some discussion in the comments when posted:
  • Comment on posts as they appear – including this one!
  • Add photos/videos from Brighton to our Instagram or Flickr accounts!

If you have accepted an invitation to write for the newsletter, you can log into WordPress to do so, otherwise you are very welcome to directly email your words and pictures, ideas or questions to me: d.stacey@bath.ac.uk Let me know if you would like a fresh invite to WordPress!

Best wishes,

  1. Thanks for the ideas, David, that gives me quite a few useful prompts – no excuses not to contribute now!
